Speaking of Charlie Brown

Charlie Brown comes to the stage at SBVC December 2 - 6, 2009.

The holiday season is off and running!

Well the Holiday season is already upon us. This week Thanksgiving and next week Christmas... or rather, it will seem like a week.

Anyhow, here is a little music to officially inaugurate this wonderful time of the year (played by some guy with more talent in his two bad hands than I have in my two good ones).

Descending into depravity

Increasingly we live in a society that has no sense of morality or propriety. Because of new technologies, people are watching in public things they were once ashamed of in private.

Steven Curtis Chapman to appear in Riverside

This Sunday at 6:00 P.M. Harvest Christian Fellowship will host an "Evening of Hope" with Steven Curtis Chapman and Greg Laurie. As you probably already know, both Chapman and Laurie share the common grief of losing a child. They will share the hope and comfort they both found in Christ during an unspeakably painful trial.

UPDATE: Below is a brief excerpt. You can find a link to the full video archive here.

Roby Duke

I have enjoyed Roby Duke's music since the late 80's. He was one of those very talented individuals - singer, songwriter, musician and producer who was known only in certain circles.

This performance is particularly touching because he died three days later on December 26, 2007 from an apparent heart attack. It serves as a poignant reminder to us all.

New audio production of The Screwtape Letters

This looks like a first rate audio production. You might recognize the title character is played by Andy Serkis. He is best known for his portrayal of Gollum in The Lord of the Rings trilogy.

You can click on the banner below for order information, but be warned, they are already back-ordered. Can't wait to get my copy!
